May is Motorcycle Awareness Month, and here is a measure of the effectiveness of this annual feel-good campaign: Around 5:30pm and long before sunset last Saturday afternoon (May 2) a helmeted, yellow-jacketed, seasoned and sober motorcyclist, wife and mother named Anita Zaffke (56, Lake Zurich IL) was struck from behind while sitting on her Honda at a red light in Wauconda, thrown two hundred feet, and suffered from multiple wounds for an hour before dying ... KILLED by a speeding Chevrolet Impala whose driver, a not-so-dedicated healthcare professional named Laura Hunt (46, Morris IL), was too busy PAINTING HER FINGERNAILS to even slow down for the red light much less stop before slaughtering Anita:

And what price will this recklessly negligent and could-care-less cager pay for the MURDER of this motorcyclist? So far, she has only been charged with "failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident".

That's it? Kill a biker and get a ticket? I refuse to accept that! What about you?
