Fortunately for lobbyist and legislator, however, a convenient "scheduling conflict" allowed both lobbyist Reichenbach and legislator Lopez-Cantera to avoid a public showdown where one or the other would have to admit they were lying about Reichenbach's alleged support of HB-137:

We may never know the truth as to what has transpired to date regarding HB-137, but hopefully our vigilance and close scrutiny will decrease the spin, double-talk and flip-flopping going forward.
